Landlord compliance

Blind compliance

Sparked by the huge number of lives lost through accidents in the home, this compliance is a must do for all landlords

The current legislation on blinds falls into the "duty of care "to the tenant. The landlord must provide a safe environment for the tenant and their children.

In an effort to reduce the number of deaths from strangulation, the British Blind and Shutter Association have produced a guide on making blinds compliant and safe in your rental property and your own home.

Any window fittings MUST comply with the regulations to avoid accidental deaths.

Any loopable cords and chains must have safety devices fitted as per the guidance from BBSA.
